Leon H. Kidman is 18, fresh out of high school, and ready to start living independently. They also just cut off their father. With the weight of this choice lurking in the rear-view mirror and an unwanted life advisor in the passenger seat, will he ever be able to reach the end of this conveniently long road?

  • Variations on scenes based on choices/order, but only one ending
  • Hand-drawn illustrations
  • Made in roughly 1 month (though planned prior) for my Year 12 Media final, came to me in a weird dream I had after I fell asleep watching Jerma play Darkwood
  • Short n' sweet and based on a true-ish story
  • Features: awesome creature beloved by all, and: just some guy

"It's an excellent game but extremely hurtful" - the abuser who inspired this game and played it for some reason

"Hear me out about the deer" - someone who knows who they are

"What's a visual novel" - premiere attendee some rows behind me

"First game to make 1 leonillion dollars" - trusted sources

"Ah fuck I forgot to submit this to TopDesigns" - me

I am aware of a few kinks and bugs that escaped my clutches. If you see them please turn to an invisible sitcom camera and laugh while shaking your head as if it's a gag. I may add BTS folio pages/research stuff I did to prep at some point :)

There is something strange in playing a game so clearly intimate while not knowing anything about the person behind it, much like reading a book starting at page 167. Still, the art and story are sound (And personally I really like the artstyle) , and the collage style effects on the deer manage to be quite unnerving.

Found it via tumblr by chance and I´m glad I gave it a shot :D

Oh my god, my heart did a bit of a flip seeing I got my first comment on here. Thank you so much for taking the time to play this. I know it must be a bit odd, and it's interesting to hear the perspective of players who don't know me personally when I've only personally seen the reactions of people I know, am friends with, etcetera! But I'm glad that despite the gap in pages, you still enjoyed the game and art and considered it worth your while. It means the absolute world to me :)
